Like a lot of people, I first got into snowboarding because of the Nagano Olympics. I moved up to Nagano soon after the Olympics finished and I've been snowboarding since. With the Sochi Olympics winding up, I've gotten all nostalgic and dug up my gear from the period.
99 Burton FL Project with 98 Burton CFX bindings. I have my current setup next to it for comparison - 08 Burton Custom with 12 Burton Genesis bindings. The shape of it is not that different to modern boards. Although you can't see it clearly in the photo, it has a lot more camber than the custon.
I remember seeing these for the first time and thinking "ratchets on the toe straps! That's incredible!"
So, I'm wondering what people have in their quivers. I'd love to see some more stuff from last century.
